11th Candid Photo

[Hachibe's pretty depressed about his rather dismal performance in Olivier Armstrong's fighting tournament.  He's never going to impress her if he keeps on going like that.  Deep down, he knows he's capable of some pretty amazing things when he's fighting for his precious parts, but what about the rest of the time?  Maybe some training would help him all around.  So, citizens of Mayfield, you can find Hachibe after school on Tuesday in several different places:

1) At the gym in the rec center.  He's trying to lift way too many weights at once, huffing and straining and periodically dropping the bar on himself.  He hasn't actually managed any reps so far.

2) Running around town rather sluggishly.  Somehow, he's managed to find training weights, and has them strapped to his ankles as he makes his way slowly through town.

3) Swimming in the pool.  He's not doing too badly here, but he's pushing himself a little harder than he probably ought to be.  Feel free to find him floating face-down in the middle of a lap, or flopped over on his back beside the pool breathing heavily.]

Yeah, the corner store magazines here all suck too.

Ah, I hadn't even thought to look there. I'll take your word on it. All the books in the library treat all boys till their 18 to things like Hardy Boys. Not very thrilling.

Yeah, don't even bother. The JC Penney's catalog is more exciting than that stuff.

[Oh. NOW he knows what you mean.]

A-ah. W-well they probably keep that stuff from you until you're an adult anyway.

That's stupid. I bought that stuff all the time back home.

Hm, well, Mayfield is like that. Sort of sucks the fun out of a lot of things.

[He grabs a set of the 5-pound weights nearby and hands them to you.]

In the meanwhile, you should start with just doing reps with these for a week or two, then work your way up, alright?

W-well there's some 10-pound ones over there too, you can try those... but honestly, you can't just jump into this sort of thing. You have to work your way up.

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, you're probably right...

[Smile!] Come on, you can do it. I can swim faster now that I did even a few weeks ago. And before I started training with Jecht, I barely knew how to throw a punch. All it takes it practice.

Maybe I can train to jump as high as those witches can fly... then I wouldn't have any problems, right?

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly! They'd never see it coming.

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah! I'll do that, then! I'll show 'em all!
