"So, I was thinking... do they do any kind of fortune-telling in your world? I'm pretty good at this one particular technique for seeing someone's future that they have back in my world. You wanna see?"

"I just bought a camera at the store the other day. Have you seen how one works yet? I thought it'd be fun to come over and show you if you want. I'm pretty good with it, so maybe I could take some pictures of you! It's a really high quality camera, so they'll definitely look nicer than the ones the town provides."

"Heya, Seychelles! It's Hachibe. I've always wanted to learn how to swim a little better, and you seem pretty fast at the blitzball games - you think we could meet at the rec center this week and you can show me how you do it?"

"Hey Shirley, wanna go out to dinner with me sometime this week? My treat! Anywhere you like is fine!"

"Major Gen-- err, Miss Armstrong! Can we meet up to go over that stuff you showed me at your house last time?"

[Eeeeeeee, just hearing her voice on the telephone sends waves of pleasure through his body~ But he must persevere! There's her lips to think of, too! In person is best!]

"...The, uh, papers and plans and things."

Those. Yes, of course.

I didn't know if you'd be busy, so I thought I'd call ahead. How's Wednesday? I have that whole night free from my job.

I'll find time Wednesday.

Great! Anything you need me to bring?

Something to take notes on... and a class roster for any of the secondary school classes you might be able to find.

"Got it!"

[And on Wednesday, have some unmistakably enthusiastic knocking on your door.]

[Olivier opens the door with a quiet sigh.] Come on in.

[Hachibe eagerly steps inside, saluting after closing the door behind him.]

"Private Hachibe Maeda, reporting! I have gathered the materials you asked for, sir!"

[In his other hand, he's carrying two spiral-bound notebooks.]

[She gives him a half-hearted salute back.]

And what else did you bring?

Um... I have my camera with me, if that helps any.

[Obediently sits in the manner of a loyal dog reacting to a command from its master, very attentive to her face. He's just chipper as anything right now, and possibly one of the few people in town utterly incapable of being cowed or intimidated by Olivier's voice alone. Violence is another matter, but hopefully he can avoid eliciting that kind of reaction from her.]

"Um... what are all of the divisions going to do, again? I'm with yours, right? Where are we being stationed?"

[He starts sifting through the papers, holding the maps up in front of them so he can bounce his eyes between them and Olivier's lips at his own discretion.]

"Is there anything new since last time? Do you want me to go around town taking pictures or anything like that? Would that help?"

If you want to help keep up with the goings-on of the Smiths, it would be helpful. My team is going to be infiltrating the Smith house--that was the original plan, at least--so you'll be in an incredibly dangerous position.

The other two divisions will be a diversion at City Hall, and an attempt to acquire the droning device.

[Grins, clenching a fist confidently.]

"Then I'm with you all the way. I'll definitely be at my strongest fighting by your side."

I thought so. But I need someone to watch that house.

Just keeping tabs, or what?

We need to try to figure out when they may be home alone.

I don't mind volunteering to watch the house.

It would be appreciated by more than just me.

[SMIRK.] Good. And those rosters?

"Yeah, got 'em right here!"

[Hachibe hands over the notebook. To his credit, it's actually a relatively complete list of the names of students in his own classes as well as others. He's capable of some pretty amazing things when he's doing something at the request of one of his parts girls, so he spent the past couple of days very energetically running around school gathering names.]

"It's not everybody, but it should be pretty close!"
