"What kind of music do you like, Garnet? I was thinking about going to the record store to see what this town's got to offer. You wanna come with?"

"So, I was thinking... do they do any kind of fortune-telling in your world? I'm pretty good at this one particular technique for seeing someone's future that they have back in my world. You wanna see?"

"I just bought a camera at the store the other day. Have you seen how one works yet? I thought it'd be fun to come over and show you if you want. I'm pretty good with it, so maybe I could take some pictures of you! It's a really high quality camera, so they'll definitely look nicer than the ones the town provides."

"Heya, Seychelles! It's Hachibe. I've always wanted to learn how to swim a little better, and you seem pretty fast at the blitzball games - you think we could meet at the rec center this week and you can show me how you do it?"

"Hey Shirley, wanna go out to dinner with me sometime this week? My treat! Anywhere you like is fine!"

"Major Gen-- err, Miss Armstrong! Can we meet up to go over that stuff you showed me at your house last time?"

[Maid outfit is totally hot bzns. Hachibe looks thrilled.]

"Iroha! Good to see you again!"

[He's got his camera hanging around his neck.]

Please, come in.

*She steps aside, smiling the whole time*

I just made some tea. Would you like some?

[Hachibe smiles and nods, walking into the house and looking around a little.]

"Yeah, tea sounds great! And then we can get started."

*She leads him to the kitchen where she pours him a cup of tea*

I did not understand what you meant by my best outfits, so I just picked a few dresses from the closet.

[Smiles and nods as she pours the tea.]

"Just, y'know... the ones you like the most, I guess. That should be fine."

*Smilesmile*

All right. So this "camera". You said it takes pictures? Like a drawing?

"Yeah, kinda!"

[Takes it from around his neck to set it on the table.]

"You hold down this button here, and then there's a flash of light from the front. It stores the image of whatever it's pointed at on the film inside. With some models, you have to wait a few days to get the film developed, but I bought the really expensive kind where the picture comes out almost right away. In the time I'm from, cameras are even more advanced them even faster than that."

R-really? What an invention! So what do you mean by developing the film? And you can see pictures right away on some models? Amazing...

"The film just stores the picture, in a smaller form than what you see when you get the actual photograph - oh, that's what pictures taken by a camera are called. Developing the film is just a process for taking that picture and making it larger. You can even get the picture in different sizes, depending on what you tell them at the camera shop."

[Pats the camera.]

"This one spits out the picture right away, though. Through this little slot here. It's blank at first, but if you watch it, the film develops itself and you can see the picture fading in over the next couple of minutes."

[He picks the camera up, pointing it at Iroha. Of course, he makes sure her chest is in the shot as well.]

"Here, I'll show you. Smile!"

*That explanation almost goes right over the poor ~~crane~~ girl's head. But she nods and smiles for him, oblivious to where Hachibe's aiming his shot*

[Well, he's not aiming it that low, since he knows she's going to be looking at the picture after it comes out. But yeah, he snaps the picture, and it comes sliding out of the camera seconds later.]

"There we go! See how it's blank right now? But just wait, and the image will start to fade in..."

[He waves the picture in the air for a few seconds to speed up the development process a bit, and within several minutes a complete image of Iroha's smiling face and generous chest fades into view.]

"There! Pretty cool, right?"

*Iroha's eyes widen at the photo as it develops right in front of her. She covers her mouth, genuinely stunned by it*

H-Hachibe-san... Ah...

Do you like it? You can have this one if you want.

Thank you...

*She picks up the photo and looks at it with awe*

This place has so many things I've never seen before.

"I can take some more if you want! Did you get any other outfits ready like we talked about before? I'll take enough pictures for us both to keep some!"

[Hachibe smiles brightly, picking up the camera again.]

Yes. I'll go change.

*She vanishes for a few minutes before returning in a nice, simple blue sundress.*

I did not know I owned so many outfits.

"Oooooh! Very cute! Now smile!"

[And he starts snapping a few pictures. Unable to help himself, some of them are unabashed closeups of her breasts. He lets the pictures fall onto the floor, gathering them up just as they're starting to develop.]

"I'll hang onto the ones I'm taking now for you, and surprise you later by putting the best ones in a frame, okay?"

[Doing his best to work an angle here without her finding out about the more perverted ones he's taking.]

Oh... okay.

*She just stands there and lets him take pictures, smiling the whole time*

You're taking so many of these pictures. I hope some of them turn out well!

[Hachibe smiles, leaning down to gather up the pictures after taking a few.]

"So... want to change outfits again? I have a lot of film with me."

*She nods and vanishes again for a wardrobe change. This time it's another dress that is technically conservative, but still does little to hide her assets*

How is this one?

"That looks great!"

[And off he goes with the camera again, snapping a few.]

"Here, try posing like this."

[Hachibe stretches one arm out over his head, like he's just waking up in the morning.]

*She poses just as he asks, though something's been bugging her*

Ah, why do you want so many photos of me?

[Snaps one picture before she gets her question out, blinking at her as he takes the picture from the camera.]

"Oh... ah..."

[He stumbles over the answer for a moment, but recovers quickly.]

"Because you're beautiful, Iroha!"

[It's his real opinion, after a fashion. He loves her breasts above all else, but to Hachibe, beauty is all about the parts to begin with.]
