27th Candid Photo

[It's been a few days, and Hachibe's already in a better mood, having more or less totally bounced back from his depression over Garnet's droning.  He's got a date coming up, he's making new friends, things at home couldn't be better, and everything just feels right.  So today, he's a man on a mission!  After school, he makes a brief stop at home to grab his digital camera before heading down the street to 1245 Williams Road, the house where Japan and Taiwan live.  Once he gets there, he stops at the edge of the yard and starts flinging small rocks up at the bedroom window.]

Taiwan!  Hey!  It's Hachibe!  Are you home?

I brought my camera with me today! I was wondering if you had some time for that photoshoot we talked about before.

[If there was any doubt in her mind at the time as to whether he was serious about this or not, it should be pretty well dispelled by now.]

I just, uh... need you to let me in. I don't know where the traps are.

Oh, it's fine. You can just walk in a straight line! That's what I always do. _{[ OF COURSE SHE TIPTOES... ]}

[The sad thing is, he totally would pay for this privilege. Dude has no shame at all.]

...Okay! Here I go.

[And he keeps his attention riveted straight ahead, swinging his arms and legs very mechanically as he walks a straight line up to the front door. Once he's there, he lets his posture slump and relax.]

Whew! Made it! Okay, I'm coming in now!

[Announcing himself at the door like a good Japanese citizen and all~ Assuming it's unlocked, he steps inside, removes his shoes, and waits for Taiwan there.]

Hi! _{[ waves at him as she goes down the stairs and walks over to him ]}

You won't do anything else to those pictures, right? If I hear anything, Japan might scold you.

_{[ By scold she means run around and slice shit up. ]}

[He honestly has no idea what she's talking about.]

I don't know what you mean, but I don't really have any weird plans for them or anything. Just kind of immortalizing something beautiful on film, you know?

[Hachibe smiles, holding up his trusty camera and patting it a little.]

Besides, Japan already said he was okay with it as long as I ask you for permission first, so it should be fine! And I can send you prints too, just like I promised before!

I don't really want them, though.

_{[ She turns to face the general direction of kitchen but looks over her shoulder. ]}

Oh well. Do you want some tea?
