"Good morning, Mayfield!  I was a little confused before since I'd just arrived, but I thought I'd make a proper introduction now that I know what's going on!  My name's Hachibe Maeda, age 15, from Japan.  Looks like I'll be living here for a while, so it's nice to meet you all!"

[After getting a little of the down-low on Mayfield from his new not!mom Arcueid, Hachibe's decided to go out exploring the town he's apparently going to be calling home for the forseeable future.  He's privately pretty upset that he won't be going back to see his friends from Sakashitamon Academy anytime soon (not to mention he'll be missing out on those lovely parts), but he's a pretty optimistic guy, so he's pushed all of those concerns to the side for the moment in an effort to make the best of his current situation.  He'll basically just be wandering all over town getting his bearings, so feel free to bump into him just about anywhere.  There's a good chance he'll be walking down every street by the end of the day anyway.]

[Hachibe doesn't really notice as he's walking along, so she can probably stalk him for a good while. He's more interested in what he can see at the moment.]

"I wonder if there are any cute girls in town..."

[Once he hears the rustling sounds, Hachibe starts to look around. Being the sort of pervert he is, he's well-acquainted with stalking behavior and it's the first place his mind tends to go in a situation like this. So now he's paying a little more attention as he walks along, glancing to each side every so often and hoping to catch a glimpse of whoever or whatever is following him.]

[Thrusts a hand out for a friendly shake, smiling. This guy is totally full of energy today.]

[Instead of staring at her breasts, however, Hachibe's gaze is riveted right to her face. He blinks a few times, rubbing his eyes as if he can't believe what he's seeing, and just sort of stares.]

[She was just minding her business, really, taking her daily walk around the neighborhood, watching the clouds in the sky.

It really wasn't until she turned a corner and literally bumped into Hachibe that she realizes she should have been paying attention to where she was going.]

Ah, I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention... [She gives him an apologetic look] Are you alright?

[Normally someone as small as the Empress wouldn't be able to bowl Hachibe over, but he wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention to himself, so he ended up falling backward onto his rear.]

"Oh...! Sorry about that! I probably should've been paying more attention too."

[She frowned lightly, reaching out to help him up] Here, I'm sorry....ah..

Hachibe...? [She recognizes that voice! She smiles a little] We spoke on the phone the other day, do you remember?

[Seychelles is downtown shopping, looking at sundresses she can't afford. Mayfield is a pretty small town, and she doesn't remember seeing him before, so he's probably new.]

Hi~! Are you lost or just taking in the sights?

"Oh, actually I'm new here! It's nice to--"

[And he cuts off there as his gaze wanders to her feet. He's sort of frozen there staring down for a few moments.]

[Puzzled, she waits for him to continue. After a few seconds she tries to pick the conversation back up.]

Mayfield's pretty confusing at first. I've been here for a few months though, so if you need help finding anything....

Oh, I think I forgot to tell you.

Don't ever drink the milk they deliver to the house.

Everyone says not to drink it...but I found out the hard way once. Apparently the Milkman here is crazy...and one time when I was trapped in the other town he gave me milk that was full of spiders somehow.

I died when I drank it.
