"Good morning, Mayfield!  I was a little confused before since I'd just arrived, but I thought I'd make a proper introduction now that I know what's going on!  My name's Hachibe Maeda, age 15, from Japan.  Looks like I'll be living here for a while, so it's nice to meet you all!"

[After getting a little of the down-low on Mayfield from his new not!mom Arcueid, Hachibe's decided to go out exploring the town he's apparently going to be calling home for the forseeable future.  He's privately pretty upset that he won't be going back to see his friends from Sakashitamon Academy anytime soon (not to mention he'll be missing out on those lovely parts), but he's a pretty optimistic guy, so he's pushed all of those concerns to the side for the moment in an effort to make the best of his current situation.  He'll basically just be wandering all over town getting his bearings, so feel free to bump into him just about anywhere.  There's a good chance he'll be walking down every street by the end of the day anyway.]

Something like that, yeah. It means someone who's nice and affectionate at first, but then they turn violent and crazy at the drop of a hat. Like, all they want to do is hug you, but then when they do, it's like they're trying to strangle you instead. Stuff like that.
